22 years after signing with the organization as a 16 year-old, Sammy Sosa appears to be headed back to the Texas Rangers. The Rangers have offered Sosa a minor league contract loaded with incentives in case the 38 year-old actually makes it through Spring Training. After refusing a $500,000 contract from the Nationals this season, Sosa seems to now be accepting of his worth, stating recently: “Now, I would accept an offer similar to that of the Nationals last year.”
This begs the question, who will be the Texas comeback player of the year, Richard Hidalgo for the Astros, or Sammy Sosa for the Rangers?
